My venture into the world of design came after more than a decade as a flower grower (specializing in dahlias) and decades of unsatisfying corporate administration positions.
In 2017 the inward whisper of horticulture could no longer be silenced. So I packed-up my administrative and meeting-planning skills and ventured into the world of floral design by opening WestWind Florals in my basement studio. I didn’t come by my design training through typical design education such as a floral design school, college, or working in a retail establishment. I set out to educate myself by way of workshops, symposiums and 1:1 mentoring sessions with the best in the industry. In the fall of 2018 WestWind Florals headed east to our forever farm on the Midcoast of Maine. WestWind Florals has continued to design, grow and evolve into MIDCOAST BLOOMS.

The collaborative approach of MIDCOAST BLOOMS is as much about your vision and process as it is about what we offer: designs using exceptional quality flowers and foliage from local sources, American flower fields and internationally, ethically grown flower farms. Choosing to select flowers and foliage with specific standards allows us to custom-craft your vision with the finest flowers, because quality matters.
